The Urban Affairs Committee of the Hanoi People’s Council will oversee social housing and resettlement housing projects serving land clearance work in the city.
The Urban Affairs Committee of the Hanoi People’s Council announced that it will monitor the development of social housing and resettlement housing projects serving land clearance in the city.
According to the plan, in May, the Urban Affairs Committee of the Hanoi People’s Council will conduct oversight at the Department of Construction, the Department of Finance, the Department of Planning and Architecture, and several communes and wards with social housing and resettlement housing projects serving land clearance work; and the investors of several social housing and resettlement housing projects in the city.
The monitoring period is from August 1, 2024 (the date the Government’s Decree No. 100/2024/ND-CP dated July 26, 2024, detailing some provisions of the Law on Housing on the development and management of social housing, came into effect) to the present.

The Urban Affairs Department will monitor through reports, direct supervision at several agencies and units, and on-site surveys of social housing and resettlement housing projects; and will organize meetings with relevant agencies and units regarding the implementation of social housing and resettlement housing projects to facilitate land clearance in the city.
The monitoring content includes the implementation of legal regulations related to the implementation of social housing and resettlement housing projects (including progress, funding sources, construction quality, management, and use of housing funds…).
The monitoring activities will focus on implementing the contents of the Hanoi City People’s Council Resolution on the city’s housing development program related to social housing and resettlement housing; identifying difficulties, obstacles, recommendations, and proposals for areas of concern, as well as other related issues.
The monitoring aims to assess the implementation of social housing and resettlement housing projects serving land clearance, in order to understand the achievements, shortcomings, and limitations in the implementation of these projects in the city. Through this, difficulties and obstacles related to mechanisms and policies will be identified, and recommendations will be made for adjustments or new regulations to promote the provision of social housing and resettlement housing in accordance with regulations.
